The best time to visit is in dry season. Temperatures tend to be quite hot during mid-day until about 16:00, pleasant during the mornings, and generally quite cool in the evenings and at night.
The region has a tropical climate with an average temperature around 25 °C (77 °F), during the heat of the day it can approach 30 °C (86 °F), but the nights are usually more comfortable, with temperatures staying around 20 °C (68 °F). Appropriate clothing, a comfortable hat and a good sunscreen are highly recommended during activities.
The Region
The air humidity varies throughout the year, reaching as low as 30% during the dry season. No rain should be expected between June and July.
In the wet season, typically from October to March, the rainfall is generally concentrated in the evening and at night and the air humidity remains close to 100%, especially between December and February, when normally an increase in the rainfall occurs.
